生活习性：丹顶鹤栖息于开阔平原、沼泽、湖泊、草地、海边滩涂。成对或结小群，迁徙时集大群，日行性，性机警。主食鱼、虾、水生昆虫、软体动物、蝌蚪及水生植物。每窝产卵1-2枚，雌雄轮流孵卵，孵卵期30-33天，寿命50-60年。丹顶鹤为国家一级保护动物。Scientific name: Grus japonensis

Distribution: The breeding range centers in northeast of China, on the border of Russia and Japan. Later, in the fall, they migrate in flocks to Korea, southeast China and Japan to spend the winter.
Habits: Red-crowned Crane inhabits in paddy fields, grassy tidal flats and mudflats. They gather for mass migrations and live in pairs. They are very diurnal and vigilant. They eat fish, including carp and goldfish, amphibians and water plants. Normally the crane lays 2 eggs and both sexes incubate the eggs for 30 to 33 days. The average lifespan is around 50-60 years. Red-crowned Crane is the first-class national protected animal.
